mosses grow in moist and humid areas as they need water for following purposes:-
1)absorption-mosses are non vascular plants and dont have any internal structures for the movement in water.Hence they grow in moist environment so that water is directly absorbed by cells.
2)for reproduction-mosses require water to reproduce.
