Answer:

The volcanic material in some cases erupts and flows outside whereas in some cases, it seeps beneath the earth due to the presence of cracks.

Explanation:

  • When the volcano erupts with force, some of the volcanic material blow out with eruption and flows out to find its course. They cool down quickly in contact with temperature, some are cooled by the rivers, sea or ocean and they form extrusive igneous rocks.
  • Whereas, sometimes there are cracks deep inside the earth due to earthquakes or tremors. Through these cracks and gaps, water enters the lower areas of rocks. When the magma does not blow out completely, some of it seeps inside, cool very slowly and solidify gradually coming in contact with seep water, thus forming intrusive igneous rocks.
