Answer:

There are two convex lenses “convergent” in the microscope, the objective lens and the eyepiece. The objective lens has a small focal length that can be smaller than 1 cm and it should be, the object must be after the focus to make a virtual and magnified image but it is not big enough for the eye, so here it comes the eyepiece lens which it’s object is the virtual image of the objective lens and it locates also between the focus and the lens and it will also locate between the focus and the lens to form a magnificate and virtual image for the eye. The distance between the two lenses must be about 25cm, according to the lens law.
