Mahaswetha one of her book with 154 pages which goes around with the life of girl named Anupama. She used here simple language so anyone can understand by reading it.Here we can see the protagonist suffering from leukoderma, a stigma which changes her life. Anupama is a beautiful girl who is good at studying and acting . She translated sanskrit plays in colleges.Dr.Anand found Anu in one of her play and he was attracted to her because of her beauty.He send his proposal to her . She and her family accepted.As she was from poor and middle class family the whole expense of marriage were done by Anand and his mother.After marriage her life changed into a fairytale. But it doesn't remain for long.As Anand moved to abroad for his higher srudies and Anu remained home for her first diwali, she found the white patch on her arm.it was lukoderma.She kept it secret but when her mother in law came to know about it, she throw Anu out of her house.She went back to village.Anand didn't written Anupama. There people started rumours that she is a married girl and staying at her home.To get rid of this she moved to Bombay for some career.There she finds a career wuth the help of one her friend.She got a job as a college lecturer. She started her plays with her students.One day Anand in Bombay for some conference found Anupama in one of her play .
