The longer the acceleration, the greater the change in velocity. Change in velocity is directly proportional to time when acceleration is constant. If velocity increases by a certain amount in a certain time, it should increase by twice that amount in twice the time.....

Answer:
Acceleration is rate of change of velocity.
Explanation:
velocity is rate of change of displacement.
Acceleration (A) = velocity (V) / Time (T)
Velocity (V) = Displacement / Time.
Where velocity is speed in a direction and displacement is the distance moved by the matter.
so A = dv/dt = displacement / time * time
hence the statement is proved.
