This is a natural adaptation of our cell that increases the surface area of the mitochondria. As a result, the mitochondria can accommodate or provide more locations to produce more ATP or the energy currency for the cell.
b. "Mitochondria" are able to "make" some of their "protein". The proteins are mainly produced by the ribosomes of the cells which are called the protein factories of the cell.
