it should  have the melting point less than that of device as it should stop the current to flow further as the fuse wire will melt the circuit will be broken and the device will be saved

• The high current running through the wires will be immediately detected due to the low melting point of the fuse.
• The fuse will melt and break the circuit, preventing the electrical current from flowing any further.
• If a material with a high melting point is used, the fuse will allow a lot of electricity to flow, which could cause short circuits.
• As a result, a low melting point substance is utilized in the fuse to sense the high current threshold.
