Explanation:

because Cu does not react with h2so4

as its reactivity is less than hydrogen

The reaction with dilute sulphuric acid  and  copper does not release hydrogen gas

Explanation:

Displacement reaction

It is a reaction between element and a compound in which more reactive element displaces less reactive from its compound

i.E   A  + BC --> AC  + B

In this the reactive element A displaces less reactive C from its compound .

In this we follow reactivity series that is :

K

Na

Ca

Mg

Al

Zn

Fe

Sn

Pb

H

Cu

Hg

Ag

Au

Pt

Now , when we react copper with dilute sulphuric acid then :

Cu  + H₂SO₄ ----> because copper is placed below in reactivity series therefore it cant reduce hydrogen . That is the reason hydrogen gas is not evolved .
