All atoms contain 3 sub-atomic particles namely: protons, electrons, & neutrons. The mass of an electron is very very small (9.10938356 × 10-31 kg to be precise) compared to a proton or a neutron. Since the nucleus of nearly all atoms (exception: Hydrogen) contains both protons and neutrons, most of the mass of an atom is concentrated in its nucleus.
