give scientific reasons for the following statements
a]why is air considered as a mixture?
b]why are sound, heat and magnetism not considered to me matter?

a). Air is considered as a mixture of gases bcoz it comprises of many gases mixed such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and many more.

b). Bcoz they dont show particle nature instead of that it shows wave nature {electromagnetic wave}. Also they do not satisfy the condition of being matter i.e. to occupy space and have some mass.

c). d). e). } same reason
Solids are very rigid due the strong intermolecular forces of attraction that's y they don't change their shape when applied pressure on it, also this results in tight packing of solids due to which density is high. this intermolecular forces doe not allow the solid to expand more on heating.

hope u like it. :)

☆Air is considered as a mixture because it is composed of many gases such as Nitrogen.. Oxygen......
☆Matter is anything that has weight and occupies space but sound.. heat and magnetism does not satisfy this condition..
☆Becoz materials of solids are closely packed..
☆ Density means mass / volume.
Solids has more mass and volume than liquids and gases... So solids have high density..
☆Solids have more densed particles.. on heating these are braked but not so more only little... Therefore solids expand slightly on heating.

Hope it helps uu..
