Give scientific reasons - Ornaments are generally not made from 24-carat gold.

Please check the question one more time. 24 carat gold is pure gold without any impurities and is too soft to make ornaments. 24 carat gold can be bent by hands. Thus it is preferred to use 22 caret gold with remaining 2 carets either silver or copper to make ornaments.

24 - carat gold or 100% pure gold have no impurities in it.

We also know that gold is such metal which if I'm pure form can be melted even by hands.

For this we can even mix gold with alloys of silver or copper.

Hence, to avoid such moulding gold need not go be 100 % pure.
