{\bold{\sf{Active \: voice}}} - A transitive verb can be used in two different forms and these two forms of the verb are called the active voice.

{\bold{\sf{How \; to \; use}}} In active voice, the subject of the verb is active it is directly responsible for the action indicated by the verb. In this form, the subject acts or does something which affect the object. The action of the subject passes on to the object.

❶ He hated me.

❷ We love our country.

❸ I am writing a letter.

❹ Ram killed a snake

❺ Columbus discovered America

In the above sentences the subject is door of an action and the action produces some affect and brings some changes in the object. It is in this sense that the verb is active. It is done in active voice.
