Arteries and veins both carry blood around the body, and they each have three main layers of tissue (a ring of endothelial tissue at the centre of the blood vessel surrounded by a layer of muscle and elastic fibres, which is surrounded by a layer of connective tissue.
. Arteries carry blood from the heart to the rest of the body, whereas veins carry blood from the rest of the body back to the heart.
Veins have valves and arteries do not. In arteries, blood flows in the right direction because of the heart pumping it forwards at high pressures.

ARTERIES- It is the nerve which contains oxygen rich blood which have been pumped by the heart to all parts of the body . this nerve is more closer to our bone that's why we can't see it from our naked eyes through our skin.
VEINS- It is the nerve which contains oxygen deficient blood which is going back to the heart from all the parts of the body. this nerve is closer to our skin that's why sometimes we are able to see it from our naked eyes through the skin
