Anywhere in the Universe,a point performs motion on a curve ,will be due to the centripetal force only.

It is this force which binds the object to curvilinear path otherwise object will come out of the circle and start moving in straight direction.

Common Examples are

1.A ball , revolving in horizontal circle attached to a rope.

Think what happens if rope suddenly breaks.

2.A vehicle turning on the road.

3.Sattelites revolving around earth.

4.Planet bounded to Sun.

5.Electron motion.

6.Dryer in washing machine.

hope it helps ^-^

The examples are :- The Traditional: Moon orbiting the Earth. The path is nearly a circle, the speed is approx. 1,000 m/s and the centripetal force is gravity. The Sub-atomic: the electron in the hydrogen atom orbiting the nucleus. Again, the path is nearly circular, the speed is approx. 2 E 6 m/s and the centripetal force is the Coulomb Electric force between the e- and the p+.The “energy consumer’s”: the rotor in a dynamo or electric motors. The motion is circular, the speed selected is constant and the centripetal force is the magnetic force that is a result of either a magnetic field due to a magnet or a magnetic field due to a current-carrying conductor inside the appliance. The magnetic force happens to be perpendicular to the plane of the field and velocity, thus, it’s perpendicular to v, which is a key requirement for centripetal force.
