Some important events are :

☆ Chromosomes split from their
centromere
Hence, each chromosome gets
converted into 2chromatid
chromosomes.

Therefore this stage is known for "doubling of chromosomal number ."

☆ Shrinkage of spindle fibers occurs which is associated with the movement of chromosomes to opposite poles .( pulling)

☆ Formation of concentric rings / interzonal fibres occurs during anaphase. ( pushing) .

☆ Initiation of cytokinesis is also observed during anaphase.

☆ Decondensation of chromosomes occur... Chromosomes appears In different shapes.

☆ Here, in this stage the centromere of the chromosomes are towards the poles and the chromatid ends are towards the centre of the cell.
