in first of chapter of class 9 science, (matters in our surroundings) basically there r two types of converting questions. one is to convert the following temperature in celcius scale and another is to convert in kelvin scale.

we know that 0°C = 273.16 K

some questions related to converting the temperatures :-

1. convert the following temperatures to celcius scale.

(i) 500 K

answer :- 500 - 273.16

= 226.84°C

(ii) 350 K

answer :- 300 - 273.16

= 26.84°C

2. convert the following temperature to kelvin scale.

(i) 1°C

answer :- 1 + 273.16

= 274.16 K

(ii) 30°C

answer :- 30 + 273.16

= 303.16 K
