Following are the reasons people do not vote:
Few people do not vote because they are too lazy to go out and cast their vote.
Some citizens feel that their vote will not make any difference in the election of any candidate.
Citizens are, at times, not aware of their candidate so they are not able to make an informed choice

People think that all parties are not genuine and thus they think that their voting is not useful so they don't vote.
Some people think that one vote can't change the results so they don't vote. But imagine that if 1,00,000 people didn't vote then there is no loss of 1 vote. It is a loss of 1,00,000 vote which can really change the results. So this is why everyone should vote on the day of voting if they care for their country.

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️
