(i) Epistolary Novel These novels are written in the form of a series of letters. Samuel Richardson’s Pamela was an epistolary novel.

(ii) Serialised Novel A format in which the story is published in instalments, each part in a new issue of a magazine. Charles Dicken’s Pickwick papers written in 1836 were a serialized novel.

Epistolary novels are written un form of a series of letters.e.g. Samuel Richardson's pamela was an epistolary novel which told it's story through an exchange of letters between two lovers

Serialised-A format in which the story is published in instalments each part in a new issue of a journal. Charles Dickens's PICKWICK PAPERS(1836) was serialised in a magazine
