Special features of union territory of India:

i. Union territories are directly connected to central government and they have special rights and status due to constitutional development.

ii. Union territories have great economic and culture affinities with nearby states.  

iii. Total seven union territories in India and all are directly controlled by Indian government.

iv. All the union territories come under jurisdiction of Indian government. They don’t have state power because they are small to be a state.
