Select the Insert tab, then click the Pictures command in the Images group. Clicking the Pictures command.
A dialog box will appear. Locate and select the desired image file, then click Insert.
The picture will appear on the currently selected slide. The inserted picture.

Steps are as follows:
- Open MS Power Point
- Create new file
- Click on Design tab and go for 'Format Background'
- Select picture or texture fill radio button.
- Then Click on 'Insert'. A window will be opened called 'Insert Picture'
- Choose your picture that you want to add.
- Then click on insert
- Resize the picture and set it as background.
You can set any picture as a background. Surf the various options to get your desired background.
