SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

Simple Future Tense is used to construct sentences about future time ( time after now ).

The Structures of Simple Future Tense

POSITIVE FORM (+):

Subject + will + V1 (First Form of Verb)

NEGATIVE FORM (-):

Subject + will not / won’t + V1 (First Form of Verb)

QUESTION FORM (?):

Will + Subject + V1 (First Form of Verb)

SHORT ANSWER FORM ( + / – ) :

YES / NO + Subject + will / will not (won’t)

Positive Sentences ( Sbj + will + V1 )

Examples:

She will be a doctor soon.

You will mary me.

The president will allow this.

That party will be interesting.

My mother will retire next year.

He will play basketball.

I will meet with him.

Structure of Simple Present Tense (Positive) :

  • Subject + The Present (first) form of the verb + complement.

For example :

  1. I learn my lessons daily.
  2. You come to school late

Structure of Simple Present Tense (Negative) :

  • Subject + do not/does not + The Present (first) form of the verb + complement.

For example :

  1. I do not learn my lessons daily.
  2. You do not come to school late.

Structure of Simple Past Tense (Positive) :

  • Subject + The Past (second) form of the verb + complement.

For example :

  1. He killed the snake with a stone.
  2. I saw him in the market.

Structure of Simple Past Tense (Negative) :

  • Subject + did not + The Present (first) form of the verb + complement

For example :
