Maintaining a cordial relationship between India and Pakistan.

Explanation:

One of the most hostile relationship India has ever had is with Pakistan. Though both these two countries sprung out from the same colonial power, they could never come into an agreement on any issue.

There is a need for these two countries to have a cordial relationship because of the vast large portion of boundary that they share with one another. Some suggestions for maintaining a cordial relation between India and Pakistan are as follows:

1. There should a free trade zone and free tariffs on domestic products produced within these countries. Countries with similar region or same continent usually have a free trade zone within the regions. This promote exchange of goods and services at a faster and more profitable rate.

2. There is a legislative provision between India and Pakistan that explicitly deals on promoting peace and harmony. This legislative body can comprise of delegates from the two countries.

3. Since many Indians and Pakistan share similar descendants, it would be a great initiative if there were visa relaxation and easy availability of permit for the citizens to cross borders regularly.

There have been many initiatives undertaken to promote cordial relationship between India and Pakistan in the past. Agreements such as the Tashkent Agreement, The Shimla Agreement, Indus Waters Treaty, etc were some major agreements signed between the two countries.
