Once upon a time there were more dinosaurs on the earth than any other land- animal. They were then the lords of the earth. They roamed freely and fearlessly through the thick vegetation. They could eat whatever plant and animal they liked. They would lie the sun for hours during winter so that they could keep their blood warm. They moved like mountains and rested whenever they were tired. Some of the biggest dinosaurs used to walk in the lakes instead of on land. The water was so shallow that they could wade in it. About a hundred thousand years ago, they suddenly disappeared from the earth.​
