(a  +    \frac{1}{a}   + 2) =    \sqrt{4}  =  \:  - 2 \\
We have not taken √4 as 2 as it will make a²+1/a² -ve
a +  \frac{1}{a}  =  - 4
Squaring both sides ,
 {a}^{2}  +   \frac{1}{ {a}^{2} }  + 2 = 16
 {a}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {a}^{2} }  = 14
