(ii) Elements with similar properties were arranged in a group.

(iii) Mendeleev observed that elements were automatically arranged in the order of increasing atomic masses.

when mendeleef selected his work ,63 elements were known . he examined the relationship between the atomic masses of the elements and their physical and chemical properties ...he observed that most of the elements get a place in a Periodic Table & arranged in order of their increasing atomic masses .........
