Inertia :-

●The tendency of an object to continue it's position of motion or rest is called it's inertia.

◆Inertia Of motion :-

If a body is in motion then it will keep continue it's motion with same speed and direction until an external force will act on it.

➡Example -- When we seated on a bus and suddenly driver apply brakes and we use to fall in forward direction this is because we were in motion and inertia tends to oppose change in our state.

◆Inertia of rest :- Inertia of rest is defined as the property by virtue of which a body continues to be at rest unless it is acted by some external force to change that condition of rest.

➡Example -- When we use to beat the carpet. with stick to remove dust particles from it then the dust comes out of it and fall on ground because it's wants to continue it's inertia of rest.
