We find the following weaknesses and qualities in. s h a n k u's. character .
Poverty – s h a n k u was a poor factory worker . He got only one rupee per day . It was not enough to support a family . So he was always worried .
Thief – He stole the gold watch but he was not a habitual thief . His worries compelled him to steal the gold watch . For him there was no other way of getting money .
Love for family – He had full regard for his family . It was due to is love that he stole the watch . He did it for the good of his family .
