Give the character sketch of Ali of The Letter.

Ali was an old man. He was also a very good hunter.He had a good eye sight ,the moment he sighted a partridge the bird was in his bag.

He was seperated from his daughter who had gone to leave with her husband in the Punjab.He did not get any letter from her since 5 years.So he go to the post office daily expecting a letter from her.

The chapter deals with the story of a old young man Ali who went to the post office daily in search for his daughter's letter.

Ali was a brilliant hunter who left hunting after he realized the pain behind separation. He had only one daughter Miriam who went to Punjab after her marriage and Ali was left all alone.

He went to the post office daily in hope of getting a letter from her daughter but unfortunately was never able to get it.
