iv. The duration of the monsoon varies from 100 to 120 days from early June to mid- September.

v. Around the time of its arrival, the normal rainfall increase suddenly and continues regularly for several days.

characteristic of monsoon : - monsoon climate is characterised by weather condition that changed from season to season. this type of mostly experienced in the interior part of the country rather than coastal areas. duration of mansoon is 100 to 120 days. The Spectacular arrival of monsoon winds at the end of the summer season is called burust of monsoon.

Effect's :- without monsoon India would have been a desert. in India monsoon Usually lasts from July to September. 90% of the rainfall in India is due to of monsoon it provides water for agriculture and domestic purpose .
