Characteristics Monsoon -

India They are not steady winds but are pulsating innature . They vary from year to year. They have tendency to have breas in rainfall . It has wet and dry spells.

Effects of monsoon rainfall in India:

(a) Indian agriculture is largely dependent upon the water from the monsoon rains. Late, low or excessive rains have a negative impact upon crops.
