convex lens

the lens which is thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges is called convex lens its a converging lens and has a real focus

uses of convex lens

1.Convex lenses are used as magnifying glasses they are used as reading glasses to read every small print of a book

2.convex lenses are used in making spectacles ,cameras, microscopes ,telescopes etc

3.the image formed by convex lens is real or virtual and large small equal to the size of the object

Concave lens

the lens which is thinner in the middle and thicker at the edges is called concave lens it is diverging lens and it does not has a real focus

1.concave lenses used in making spectacles for people who cannot see distant objects clearly

2. concave lenses are also used in galilean telescopes

3.image formed by concave lenses is always virtual and erect and smaller than the size of the object

pls mark brainliest as i worked hard to answer u i beg before u to mark brainliest and follow me

Covex lens :

  • It is buldged outwards
  • Thicker in the middle than the edges
  • It is called converging mirror
  • Example : flashlights, camera, microscope

Concave lens :

  • It is curved inwards
  • Thinner in the middle than the edges
  • It is called diverging lens
  • Example : eyeglasses
