1) NaOH or caustic soda

¤ Uses

→ Its main uses are in the manufacture of pulp and paper, alumina, soap and detergents, petroleum products and chemical production.

→ Other applications include water treatment, food, textiles, metal processing, mining, glass making and others.

2) CaSo2•2H2O is called gypsum which is formed by POP

→ Gypsum is a mineral and is hydrated calcium sulfate in chemical form.

¤ Uses

→ Gypsum plays a very important role in controlling the rate of hardening of the cement.

→ During the cement manufacturing process, upon the cooling of clinker, a small amount of gypsum is introduced during the final grinding process.

3) NaHCO3 is Baking Soda

¤ Uses

→ Used as Soda acid fire extinguishers .

→ NaHCO3 is also ingridient of antacids .

→ Used as bakery product .
