Hostel life is the best part of your life if you have got some good friends.
I am a first year undergraduate student staying in the hostel for the first time.
When the first day when my parents left me in the hostel and went home, I didn’t cry. But, I was longing for the 3 days long weekend which was about to come in 2 days. I never cried in hostel for staying alone without parents except once when I felt depressed.
Those days when mobile phones were prohibited inside the hostel premises, we would always have a watch on the door to see if warden comes. We would hide our phones like an involuntary action if someone else enters into the room. It’s actually a dorm with 40 people.
I have never been with so much of people ever before. When I heard that I am going to stay with 40 people, I was scared like hell. I didn’t talk with them for few days. Then, I slowly started talking with almost everyone. They are the most important reason that I learnt to initiate a conversation with strangers.
