Explanation:

The lymphatic system is a part of the circulatory system and a vital part of the immune system.

Explanation:

The lymphatic system has multiple inter related functions :

1) it is responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid from tissues.

2) it absorbs and transports fatty acids and fats as chyle from the digestive system.

3) it transports white blood cells to and from the lymph nodes into the bones.

4) the lymph transports antigen presenting cells, such as dendrite cells to the lymph nodes where an immune response is stimulated.

Unlike cardiovascular system, lymphatic system is not a closed system. The human cardiovascular system processes an average of 20 litres of blood per day through capillary function. About 17 litres of the filtered plasma are reabsorbed directly into the blood vessels, while the remaining 3 litres remain in interstitial fluid. The main function of the lymph system is to provide a return route for the blood for the surplus three litres
