Give the composition of two alloys and write two uses for each.​

1. nichrome - made up of 80% nickel and 20% chromium.

used for:

- used in heating elements and coils in electrical appliances due to its high melting point.

- used in dental restorations or filllings.

2. brass -made up of around 67% copper and 33% zinc, though the amount of copper and zinc may vary.

used for:

- making musical instruments such as bells, trumpets etc.

- making bathroom fixtures, washers, doorknobs, bearings etc.

3. steel - made up of iron mixed with carbon. the amount of iron and carbon in the alloy varies for different types of steel.

used for:

- making stainless steel, which is another alloy made up of many metals mixed together in various proportions with steel.

-  the construction of roads, railways, other infrastructure, appliances, and buildings.
