Answer:

The difference between: liquation and hydraulic washing is as follows:

Liquation:

  • The liquification process is mainly use for the purification of metals which have low melting points.
  • The pure metal flows down the slope, leaving the impurities behind.

Hydraulic washing:

  • Hydraulic washing is mainly used for the concentration of magnetic ores.
  • The impurities are left behind by the washed away from the ore.

The differences between electrolytic reduction and reduction with carbon is as follows:

Reduction with carbon:

  • In this process, carbon is used as a reducing agent.
  • Metals like Zn,Fe, Cu,Ni reduce by the carbon.

The chemical reaction is as follows

\mathrm{ZnO}+\mathrm{C} \rightarrow \mathrm{Zn}+\mathrm{CO}

Electrolytic reduction:

  • In this process, electrolysis process is a reduction.
  • Al,Na,K,Mg and Ca  metals reduce by this process.

A l^{3+}+3 e^{-} \stackrel{\text { Electrolytic reduction }}{\longrightarrow} A l.
