root pressure is pressure exerted by roots to push water
transpiration is amount of water vapour released by plant during respiration

The loss of water from the surface of leaves is known as transpiration.Root pressure is one of the force involved in the upward  water movement in the xylem.In other words transpiration is a process in which water is loss from leaves and on other hand root pressure is a force due to which water moves upward in xylem.
