give the effect of pressure on melting point and boiling point of a substance​

a higher pressure will usually raise the boiling point and to some extent the melting point is the pressure is low enough the liquid phase can no longer exist because the boiling point is below the melting point. the substance then sublimes that is passes directly from solid to gas.
