SOLUTION:-

As it given that

=> x = 2

=> y = 14

Hence,

=> x+y = 16

Also,

=> y = 7x

=> y-7x = 0

Therefore,

The equations of two lines passing through (2,4) are:-

=> x+y = 16

And,

=> y-7x = 0

Hence,

There would be infinite such lines because infinite number of lines can pass through a given point.

Answer:

There can be infinite lines passing through a point. Thus there can be infinite lines passing through (4,-2) such as x+y=2,5x+2y=16
