Given :  A point (5 , 15)

To find : equations of two lines passing through (5 ,15 )  .  How many more such lines are there,

Solution:

equations of   lines passing through (5 ,15 )

y  - 15  = m (x  -  5)

m is the slope of line which can take any value

as only 1 point is given

m = 0

=> y - 15 =  0

=> y = 15

m = 1

=> y - 15  = x  - 5

=> y  = x  +  10

m = 2

=> y - 15  =  2x - 10

=> y = 2x  + 5

y = 3x

1/m = 0

=> x = 5

Infinite lines can be there passing through (5 , 15)
