Give the feedback using the four step model (BFIR Model):

Sumit, doing MBA from a reputed business school, has taken a summer job in the biggest factory in his home town. He was told to report to the warehouse supervisor, Mr. Dinesh Singh. Mr. Dinesh Singh has been known as a 'workaholic' person. On the first day at work, he assigned him some difficult tasks without giving much detail and a time limit. Somehow, Sumit managed to complete those tasks in time, but next day the same thing happened. This continued for a week which left Sumit quite stressed and anxious. He wanted to complain about this to his supervisor's seniors, though he doesn't want to lose his summer job as it will affect his academic grades. Sumit therefore decided to talk to Mr. Dinesh regarding this situation, but he has to be careful with his words as he dosen't want to be on the bad side of his direct supervisor. Fortunately Sumit was called by Mr. Dinesh for personal feedback and queries on the next day. What kind of feedback do you suggest for sumit which will solve the problem without affecting his summer job.

Feedback for Sumit.

Explanation:

  • Sumit you are a hardworking and punctual person with so much potential.
  • But I have noticed that you work towards the end of the week seemed a little frail.
  • I do realize that this is your first job and managing it with studies must be tough. I would suggest you to make a time table for work and studies. This will help you a lot.
