Answer: For Sodium: The answer is Sodium Peroxide (Na2O2) and Sodium Peroxide (Na2O), For Magnesium: The answer is Magnisium Nitride (Mg3N2).

Explanation: Both the answer are given 11th Class NCERT Part 2 Chapter s-Block.

Perks - In NCERT, It says only sodium peroxide is formed but, once in JEE Advanced the question came in Multi Correct as, 'What compounds are formed when sodium is treated with excess air?' And the answer was Na2O and Na2O2.

Hope it helps!
