The reasons responsible for cutting if trees are :-

• Growing population -

Due to increasing population , trees are cut down in order to to build human dwellings there or use the tree for fulfilling their increasing demands as well.

• Industrialisation is one of the major cause behind cutting of the trees. Forests are the source of raw material for various industries for getting these raw material trees are cut down eg paper industry.

• Unemployment - the people which are unemployed are not able to purchase fuel they just use the traditional method of burning wood .

• Modernization - in the present era of technology large dam new nuclear project are build by clearing the forests .
