Answer: Flower: A flower is the reproductive part of a plant. its function is to produce fruit and seeds. seeds germinate and produce new plants

Anther: A small two-lobe structure called anther which consists of fine particles called pollen grains. Male reproductive cells or gametes are present inside pollen grains.

Flowers, Anthers and Stomata are specific structures or organelles of higher plant species.

  • Flowers are the hallmark of Angiosperms. These are the reproductive structures of a plant arising from meristematic protuberances called flower buds. Flowers are also described as modified vegetative shoots.
  • A Flower comprises mainly four whorls from outermost to innermost: Calyx(sepals), Corolla(Petals), Androecium(stamens) and Gynoecium(carpels).
  • Androecium and Gynoecium are the essential whorls since these are the male and female reproductive organs respectively.
  • The Androecium is made up of stamens and Anther and filament are the two distinct units of the stamens. The Anther is a lobed structure bearing four sporangial sacs in which male gametophyte(pollen grains) become matured. The Filament is a slender stalk-like structure that supports Anther and in between a connective tissue is present.
  • Stomata are the organelle through which gaseous exchange occurs in plants. It is a tiny pore surrounded by guard cells that regulate the opening and closing of the stomata.
