General rules for Nomenclature are

1) firstly, identify the longest chain of carbon, i.e. the parent chain.

2) Identify the additional substituents present, i.i functional groups, double or triple bonds etc.

3) Number the carbons from the end that give lowest number. If the chain is equivalent from both sides, follow alphabetical order.

4) State first letter as capital, in alphabetical order, followed by the base root name after the substituent na5) If the same constituent occurs move than once, use di, tri tetra etc.
