for true solution
1) its nature is homogeneous
2)particle size less than 1nm
3)particles donot settle down and are invisible
4)particle can pass through ordinary filter paper as well as animal membrane
5)appearance - clear & transparent
for colloidal
1) heterogeneous in nature
2)size btwn 1-1000nm
3)particles donot settle down and visible only under ultra microscope.
4)translucent in appearance
5) can pass through ordinary filter paper but not through animal membrane
for suspensions
1) heterogeneous
2)size more than 1000nm
3)settle on standing and visible under microscope and also with naked eyes
4) opaque appearance
5) donot pass through filter paper and animal membrane.

in true sollution the size of solute particles is extremely small. it is homogeneous in nature.it can pass through filter paper without leaving no residue behind.it does not scatter light. it is transparent.it does not show tyndall effect.it has uniform composition throughout its mass.it has not visible
boundaries of seperation b/w its constituents.it is stable means,on keeping solute particle does not seperate.
in suspension the of solute particles is big as comapared with true solution and clloidal solution. it s heterogeneous in nature.it has not uniform composition throughout its mass and has visible boundaries of seperation b/w its constituents.it cannot pass through filterpaper and leave residue behind.it is unstable means,on keeping solute particles can seperate.
in colloidal solution the solute particle is bigger than true solution but smaler than suspension.it seems to be homogeneous but it is a heterogeneous in nature. it shows brownian motion. it can pass through filter paper but it cannot pass through animal membrane.it has two phase dispersed phase and dispersion medium.
