There are basically three types of mammals that include Monotremes, Marsupials and the Placental mammals.
Monotremes lay eggs and their body temperature is lower than many warm-blooded animals.
It includes the platypus and the spiny anteater.
Marsupials give birth to tiny babies and the babies drink mother's milk and stay in her pouch.
Typical examples are kangaroos and koalas.
In placental mammals, the baby fully develops in the mother's womb and there is a placenta that transports the needed nutrients from the mother to the baby along with oxygen and water.
Most mammals belong to this class.
Examples are humans, tiger, elephants, etc.
