a) It means from where it is originated. for example ; From the play ' The Merchant Of Venice ' there is a line. in which Antonio says to Salarino. I don't know from Whereof It Is Born.

b) Want wit sadness is a line used in Shakespeare's play, the Merchant of Venice. It literally translates to as, feeling sadness, without understanding the reason or logic behind feeling that sadness.

Hope it helps you!!
