The stars of the galaxy are numberless and endless . They can not be counted.

They were never ending in numbers .

The daffodils were too numerous in numbers and spread throughout the valley beneath the trees and beside the lake .

Hence , the poet compared the daffodils to the stars of the Milky Way galaxy and said that --- " They stretch in never - ending line " .
