give the number of neutral point obtained if we place a bar magnet in east west direction

There are two neutral points possible. This is true in case of any orientation of bar magnet. Since, there are always two tangents of magnetic field due to bar magnet which are directed opposite to earth's magnetic field, where we will have neutral point.
